To the west, along the M27 is Southampton and Southampton airport, situated approximately 20 miles away.

Gosport Town Centre is situated a short distance to the east. Gosport has an established business community, with international companies, including QinetiQ, Vector Aerospace, Fleetlands, Clipper Ventures, STS Defence Ltd, CPG Logistics and Huhtamaki Group.
